Buying a child's first pony should be one of the happiest experiences a family ever shares. Too often, it's one of the most stressful.

Thousands of adverts. Vague descriptions. Blurry photos. No idea what questions to ask, whether a pony is genuinely suitable, or who to trust. Existing horse sales websites were built to host classified adverts — not to help nervous parents make one of the biggest purchases of family life.

Pony Search exists to change that.

We're the UK's family pony marketplace — and we're built for the whole journey. Most families find us searching for a first pony, and that's still what we're best known for. But children grow, and the right partner changes with them: from a first pony to a stepping-stone, a Pony Club pony, a second pony and beyond. Our aim is to be the trusted place families come back to at every stage — to sell the pony they've loved and find the next one.

What makes us different

• We specialise in ponies. First ponies, stepping-stone and second ponies, Pony Club all-rounders, confidence-givers and native breeds — never adult competition horses. That focus means everything, from our search filters to our advice guides, is designed around what children and families actually need.
• We insist on honest adverts. Every listing answers the questions buyers really ask: is it good in traffic, will it hack alone, is it safe with children. Sellers are encouraged to disclose quirks — because honesty leads to happier matches.
• We guide, we don't overwhelm. Answer a few simple questions and we'll suggest suitable ponies — and explain exactly why each one matched.
• Buyers never pay. Our only income is advert fees from sellers. We never take commission, and we never will.

If an advert is misleading, we take it down. If a feature doesn't make finding the right pony easier, we don't build it. Simple as that.
