Privacy policy

What we collect
- Account details — name, email, and optionally phone number and county, when you register.
- Advert content — the details and photographs you choose to publish.
- Enquiries — messages you send to sellers, which are shared with that seller.
- Payment records — payment status and amounts. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Technical basics — IP address and session cookies necessary for the site to function securely.
How we use it
To operate the platform: displaying adverts, delivering enquiries to sellers, processing payments, preventing abuse, and sending service emails (such as password resets and advert expiry reminders). We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.
Cookies
We use a strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in and to secure forms, and a small cookie that remembers your choice below. These are essential, so they do not need your permission.
We would also like to use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages they visit, and whether they find a pony. These are analytics cookies, and we do not set them unless you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time using the button below.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Who we share data with
- Stripe — to process payments securely.
- Sellers — receive the name, email, phone number and message you include in an enquiry.
- Nobody else, except where required by law.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Expired adverts are retained so you can relist them; you can delete them (and your account, by contacting us) at any time. Payment records are retained for 6 years as required by UK tax law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, contact us.
