About Brawen

Branwen is a 9-year-old Welsh Section D mare standing at 14.1hh, looking for a new home. She has a green passport and has been well cared for since we bought her as a 4-year-old.

Although Branwen hasn’t been very active in the past couple of years, she has been quietly enjoying life at home. She loves hacking and is currently going out twice a week on her own, though she hasn't done much of this in the past.

Branwen has been to shows and placed well in-hand, but she hasn't participated in this recently. She is not a novice ride; as a typical Welsh mare, she can be quirky and may push boundaries if given the chance. However, she has never shown any aggression towards handlers.

Her current rider is a 17-year-old who is now busy with college and work, leaving Branwen with less attention than she deserves. This mare would thrive with someone who can provide consistent work, as she enjoys being active. While she hasn’t done much jumping, she has some experience and shows potential for flatwork and dressage, moving beautifully when schooled.

Branwen is currently barefoot and up to date with her teeth and vaccinations.
