About Bramble

★ EXAMPLE ADVERT — this shows how a loan advert looks on Pony Search. Bramble is not really available. ★

Bramble is our daughter's first pony and we cannot bring ourselves to sell him. She has grown out of him rather than out of loving him, so we are looking for a family to love him for the next few years — with the door left open for him to come home to us one day.

He is a 14-year-old Welsh Section A, 11.2hh, and he has done the whole job: lead-rein, first ridden, walk-and-trot classes, Pony Club rallies and miles of quiet lanes. Traffic, tractors, dogs and flapping bags are all met with a bored sigh. He is genuinely easy to catch, shoe, clip and load, and he stands like a statue at the mounting block while a small person clambers aboard.

He would suit a child of about four to eight who is finding their feet — he is not a push-button toy, but he is honest, forgiving and kind, and he has never once put a child on the floor.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A full loan, with Bramble moving to your yard. We would like to visit a couple of times a year and be sent the odd photo — nothing intrusive, we would just like to know he is happy. We are looking for a home within about an hour of us so that visiting is realistic.

THE PRACTICAL BITS
You would cover his keep, insurance, farrier, dentist, worming and routine vet costs. We stay responsible for anything major and would want a call before any significant treatment. He must not be sold, loaned on, bred from or jumped above 50cm, and we would ask for a month's notice on either side if it stops working. Everything goes in a written loan agreement before he travels — we will happily use a standard Pony Club or BHS template.

He comes with his passport, his rugs, his own saddle if it fits your child, and a very detailed list of his opinions about carrots.

(This is an example advert created by Pony Search to show how a good loan advert reads. Bramble is not really available. Loan adverts are free to place on Pony Search.)
